Security Risk Assessment is a point-in-time review of your company’s technology, people, and processes to identify problems, while Risk Management is an ongoing process where you round up all the identified risks in your company and work towards eliminating them.
Assessing risks allows individuals and organization to identify the threat it is exposed to and be able to evaluate the level of the associated risk. A proper security risk assessment allows the individual or organization to prepare an effective plan or strategy for mitigating or managing the security risk.
